12/4/15 – 1/4/16          Tampa and Home for the Holidays

12/4/15                         Tampa

This last leg of our trip for this year was another 40+ mile cruise. Yet another somewhat cloudy, but very warm day.

Tampa like all major cities Tampa appeared to be hazy until we got further in. However coming into Tampa Bay was very impressive. We are actually staying on Davis Island with the city a stones throw away.

The slips on the left are where we are tied up.

View of downtown from the boat.
Davis Island has a really cute little town which we were able to walk and bike to. It had lots of little restaurants but very few shops.

We ventured  into the downtown area and did our turn around the River Walk. This is a great area and seams to center around the Convention center.

Our first alligator warning!

Unlike the below Cruise Ship leaving port, we rented a car and drove up to Bel Air, MD. We are staying with my son and I’m getting to really enjoy the little one. We will be heading back to the boat and resuming out trip after Ken’s daughter Dani arrives. She’ll be joining us for the about a week.

Happy Holidays

 and

come back to read more after the 9th.
