3/25/16
– 4/8/16 Fort Pierce and Cocoa
Village
3/25/16 – 4/7/16 Fort Pierce
Well
we finally have our 3 new fuel tanks which are all connected and working as one.
It was a long, tedious and dirty job. But now it is done. So we are ready to
resume our trip.
But
before we left Fort Pierce we got to see an 80 ft., all wood, 1947 yacht. This
picture does not do it justice as they didn’t pull in until just before dark.
This is the S.S. Sophie and it belongs to Greta Van Susteren, host of Fox News “On
The Record”.
4/8/16 Cocoa Village
Finally
being underway again really felt great. We made a 68 mile run up the Indian
River (Intracoastal) to Cocoa Village which is across from Cocoa beach.
The
river is fairly wide for the most part. It has many little islands and lots of
sandbars all along the route. It was very important to stay in the channel.
Our
destination was the Cocoa Village Marina.
We
arrived in time to see the launch of a satellite in route to the space station
with a load of supplies.
This
was a cute little town with an amazing waterfront park.
Check
back next week for more of our trip up the East Coast. We are in South Daytona
Beach at this time for a few days.
